KPK OTT, Cianjur Regent Netted

HarianPress. Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) again carried out a hand-holding operation (OTT) against the regional head. This time the KPK prosecution team arrested Cianjur Regent Irvan Rivano Muchtar along with five other people.

"The six secured people consist of the Regional Head, Head of Office and Head of Division, from elements of the MKKS (Working Meeting of Principals), and other parties," said KPK Deputy Chairman Laode M Syarif when confirmed on Wednesday.

Syarif said the arrest of the six people was carried out at the dawn. According to him, he was informed that there would be a handover of money related to the education budget in Cianjur Regency, West Java.

"After we conducted checks in the field, there is preliminary evidence of alleged bribery for Regional Heads," he said.

At present, said Syarif, the six people arrested, including the regent, have been sent to the KPK office. The six of them underwent an initial examination. The KPK has 1x24 hours before deciding the status of the parties arrested.

"The results will be delivered more fully at the Press Conference," Syarif said.
